Gov. Sanders signs executive order providing more funding for May storms

Gov. Sanders announced that more funding will be provided to help communities in Arkansas recover from severe storms, flooding, and tornadoes that occurred in May.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced that additional funding will be provided to help communities in Arkansas recover from severe storms, flooding, and tornadoes that occurred on or around May 24.

In an executive order amending E.O. 24-07 from May 26, 2024, Gov. Sanders authorized $750,000 from the Governor’s Disaster Response and Recovery Fund.

The funds will be used at the discretion of the Director of the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management to help the state recover from losses sustained during severe weather.
