BENTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — In the early morning hours of May 26, multiple tornadoes touched down in Benton County, killing four, injuring others, damaging countless homes, and knocking out power for tens of thousands of residents.
The Arkansas Division of Workforce Services (ADWS) has announced online resources to aid residents whose employment was impacted by the storms, stating in part "If the storms caused the loss or interruption of your job or self-employment, you could be eligible for unemployment insurance."
ADWS directs residents to apply online, and mark their application as "laid off/storms," or visit the Mobile Workforce Center at Rogers High School, and occasionally at the Goodwill on Appleby Road in Fayetteville.
