FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Fayetteville-based cable and internet provider Ozarks Go was the target of a cyber incident that resulted in TV servers and service going down on Oct. 7, according to a letter on the company's website.

After learning about the incident, OzarksGo "immediately implemented it's incident response plan" that called for the deactivation of connected equipment.

The company has made contact with cybersecurity experts, but they expect the TV service for around 4,500 customers to be impacted for an "extended period."

In light of the outage, OzarksGo has offered one month of its streaming and internet service to customers for free.

Impacted customers can contact OzarksGo's support line at (479) 684-4900 or visit the tech support section of their website.
