Boil order lifted for parts of Alma after water main leak

Customers are asked to boil water for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded, and only boiled water used for making ice.

ALMA, Ark. — A boil order issued for parts of Alma due to a water main leak has been lifted.

A release from the Highway 71 Water District says that there is a water main line leak on East Newberry Road prompting the order, which was issued at 3:50 p.m. on June 5.

On June 12, the boil order was lifted.

The order affected customers on East Newberry Road, Bayou Terrace, Chapen Way, Orchard View, and Orchard Brook.

Customers were asked to boil water for one minute prior to use, and only boiled water used for making ice.
