PEA RIDGE, Ark. — The Pea Ridge Police Department (PRPD) is hosting a necessities drive through September for local senior citizens.

The items will be distributed to struggling seniors at Autumn Place at Oak Ridge and other elderly residents.

"Many seniors don't always have family or friends to care for them. If you can give even one item, it will go a long way to help and brighten the day of a senior citizen in our community," said PRPD.

Items needed:

  • lotion
  • tea
  • coffee
  • shampoo and conditioner
  • toilet paper
  • toothpaste
  • gloves
  • body wash
  • scarves
  • blankets
  • hats
  • socks
  • slippers

Donated items can be dropped off at the Pea Ridge Police Department located at 187 Slack Street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
