Plane makes emergency landing overnight in Little Rock

An American Airlines flight from Boston to Dallas-Fort Worth made an emergency landing in Little Rock due to reports of a possible odor detected in the cabin.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — According to reports, an American Airlines plane made an emergency landing in Little Rock due to reports of a possible odor in the cabin.

Flight 196 from Boston to Dallas-Fort Worth diverted to Little Rock and landed safely for the plane to have a thorough inspection from a maintenance team. At this time, officials confirmed that there was no smoke or fire present on the aircraft.

The flight contained 179 passengers and 6 crew members. Customers received hotel accommodations and will re-depart for their destination later this morning on a different aircraft.
