Police: Benton County crash leaves 1 dead

The report states the two vehicles were "negotiating the same curve."

BENTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — A crash in Benton County left one person dead on Sunday, Dec. 3, according to a crash report by Arkansas State Police (ASP).

The victim is identified as 46-year-old Yvonne Rogers of Fairview, Missouri. Rogers was the passenger of a 1967 Chevrolet Nova that was headed south on State Highway 94 at around 1:18 p.m., according to ASP.

The report states the Chevrolet and a Ford Edge who was headed north were both "negotiating the same curve."

Officials say the Chevrolet accelerated and lost control, skidding "into the path of the Ford."

This caused the Ford to hit the passenger side of the Chevrolet sending both vehicles off the road and killing Rogers, the report said.
