Police chase causes crash in Fort Smith

FORT SMITH, Ark. — A crash reportedly caused by a police chase in Fort Smith is affecting traffic on Saturday.

The Fort Smith Police Department (FSPD) said in a release that officers responded to a crash at Zero Street and 31st that "occurred as the result of a pursuit from an outside jurisdiction."

The release was sent at around 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 16. The Arkansas Department of Transportation reported at 8:51 p.m. that all lanes in the area were impacted.

5NEWS has reached out to Arkansas State Police and FSPD and has not yet heard back.
