FORDYCE, Ark. — A mass shooting at a Fordyce grocery store killed four people and wounded nine other civilians, including two police officers, on Friday.
Arkansas State Police Col. Mike Hagar said the scene is "secure and contained," as the lone shooter, 44-year-old Travis Posey of New Edinburg, is in custody with non-life-threatening injuries.
Posey will be charged with four counts of capital murder, with additional charges pending. He is being held at the Ouachita County Detention Center.
Authorities have not clarified if the shooting happened inside or outside the Mad Butcher grocery store or what type of gun was used.
