ARKANSAS, USA — After radar indicated a potential tornado touching down in Rogers, Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas began reporting outages around 5 p.m. on Nov. 4.
By 6:26 p.m., 1,918 customers in Benton County were without power. By 9 p.m., outages in Benton County were down to 435.
Ozarks Electric Cooperative is still reporting around 2,211 outages in Adair County, Oklahoma.
According to the Siloam Springs Police Department, power is out throughout the city and police are asking residents to stay home due to downed power lines.
Because of the severe weather, the city's emergency operations center had to be activated to a Level 2, police said in a post on Facebook.
"There are power outages across the city, power line damage, debris in the roadways, and localized flooding. All city departments are aware of these issues and they are being addressed by the level of safety and importance."
Police ask for residents to stay home if possible and to stay away from "dangerous areas," as flooding is also an issue in the area.
If you come across any downed power lines, police say to call 911 immediately and do not try to drive across them.
As the storm moved over to Madison County at around 8 p.m., Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas began reporting outages. By 9:15 p.m., 645 customers were without power in Madison County.
Additional outages:
- Johnson: 186
- Washington: 134
