$100,000 Christmas Day Powerball ticket sold in Heber Springs

“We urge all players who played Powerball at Heber Springs Discount Tobacco in the Christmas drawing to check their tickets,” Eric Hagler said.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A lucky Christmas Powerball ticket worth $100,000 was sold at Heber Springs Discount Tobacco, according to a press release from the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL).

The winning numbers on the Dec. 25 drawing were 5, 12, 20, 24, and 29, the Powerball was 4, and the multiplier was 2. The player in Heber Springs matched the Powerball and four of the five numbers. Using the Power Play option for $1 per play, the winner took home the $100,000 prize instead of the original $50,000 prize.

“We urge all players who played Powerball at Heber Springs Discount Tobacco in the Christmas drawing to check their tickets,” Eric Hagler, ASL executive director, said. “The winner has 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.”

Although the winner took home a large sum, there was still no jackpot winner on Dec. 25 so the drawing on Dec. 27 was estimated to be $700 million. Wednesday's Powerball jackpot had a cash value of $352.3 million, "making it the ninth-largest," according to ASL.

Powerball Dec. 27 drawing
