Chuy's is based in Austin, Texas, but this will be its fourth location in Arkansas. The other locations are in Fayetteville, Rogers, Little Rock, and North Little Rock.
During its grand opening celebrations, Chuy's will raise money for the Fort Smith Animal Haven through a collection campaign. The public is invited to submit photos of their dogs online for a chance to be featured on the restaurant's dog wall. For each valid submission, Chuy's pledges to donate $1 to the animal shelter.
"We're thrilled to bring Chuy's to Fort Smith, a city with such a rich history and unique cultural tapestry," said General Manager of Chuy's Fort Smith Emilie Butt.
