Police: Rogers daycare reports $10K worth of playground equipment stolen

Busy Minds said Woodland Academy in Bentonville, where they had purchased their playground equipment, also had items stolen.

ROGERS, Ark. — Up to $10,000 worth of playground equipment was reported stolen by a Rogers daycare on Jan. 7, according to the Rogers Police Department (RPD).

Tanya Murray, the owner and executive director of Busy Minds Academy, confirmed the items were stolen from their not-yet-opened Rogers location on West Olive Street. Busy Minds currently operates two locations in Bella Vista and Gravette.

Murray said Woodland Academy in Bentonville, where Busy Minds had purchased their playground equipment, also had items stolen.

Before closing on the Rogers property on Jan. 5, Murray said they moved the playground equipment to the new location about two weeks ago.

Murray reached out to Woodland after the theft, and Woodland said someone had broken in through a fence and stolen items from their property also.
