CLARKSVILLE, Ark. — A single-vehicle crash in Clarksville left a 24-year-old woman dead and another person injured on Saturday evening, according to an Arkansas Department of Public Safety report.
The driver of a 2000 Chevrolet was traveling eastbound on State Highway 352 when he "failed to negotiate a left curve and ran off the roadway" around 9:15 p.m. on April 13.
When he ran off the roadway, the driver hit two metal signs before striking a concrete culvert. The impact from the culvert overturned the Chevrolet where it then struck a tree, killing the passenger of the vehicle, Makayla Prince.
The driver was taken to a Little Rock hospital to treat his injuries.
According to Arkansas State Police, weather conditions were clear and road conditions were dry at the time of the accident.
