Deadly crash takes place in Springdale

The crash took place on I-49 near Mile Marker 77 at around 9:42 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9.

SPRINGDALE, Ark. — According to the Arkansas Department of Public Safety, a single-vehicle crash left one person dead in Springdale. 

The crash took place on I-49 near Mile Marker 77 at around 9:42 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9.

The man was identified as 44-year-old Tyrell Hopson of Bentonville. 

According to the crash report, Hopson was driving northbound on the interstate when the incident took place. The report states he "ran off the roadway to the left" and hit a concrete barrier before crossing "all lanes" running off to the right and hitting a ditch. 

Hopson did not survive the crash.
