WASHINGTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — According to the Arkansas State Police (ASP), a man has died in a crash on I-49 on West Fork on Wednesday, April 10.
The man was identified as 47-year-old Rogers Curtis Friddle of Mountainburg, according to ASP.
What happened?
According to the crash report, Friddle was the passenger in a vehicle that was headed northbound on I-49 near mile marker 54. The crash took place at around 4:49 p.m. and at this time, the weather was reported as rainy.
The report states the vehicle "hydroplaned after hitting a pool of water" causing it to leave the road, hitting a bridge pillar.
The driver of the vehicle was injured in the crash but Friddle, did not survive.
