MOUNTAINBURG, Ark. — The City of Mountainburg is asking residents to avoid a sinkhole in the northbound lane of Highway 71 near Dairy Dream.

Traffic from the northbound lane will be diverted into the middle turning lane to help residents avoid the sinkhole.

"Please use extreme caution," the city says.

5NEWS reached out to the Mayor's Office to see when the lane will reopen.
