BENTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — Open Avenues, a Rogers nonprofit assisting adults with disabilities to reach their work-related goals, is set to host its fifth annual SOAR NWA fundraising event this August.
"We’re extremely excited to be able to bring this unique event back to Northwest Arkansas," Ocean Avenues Development Director Kelly Sampson said. "Not only does it promise incredible fun for our attendees, but it also serves as a vital fundraiser for Open Avenues, supporting our mission to create employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities."
This year's outdoor event will include the staple hot air balloon rides, nighttime balloon goals, helicopter rides, circus performers, a beer garden, food trucks, vendors, and a performance from country musician Coffey Anderson.
"The inclusion of Coffey Anderson this year adds an extra layer of excitement to the festivities," Sampson said.
The family-friendly festival will be at the Benton County Fairgrounds on Friday, Aug. 16, and Saturday, Aug. 17. Anderson's performance will be on Saturday evening.
There are one and two-day ticket options available. Some activities, including hot air balloon and helicopter rides, are not included in the ticket prices.
- One-day prices, purchased in advance:
- Adults: $15
- Kids between 3-10: $5
- Free for kids 2 and under
- Two-day prices, purchased in advance:
- Adults: $25
- Kids between 3-10: $8
- Free for kids 2 and under
Ticket prices increase at the gate. Ticket sales at the gate are not guaranteed due to capacity.
VIP meet-and-greet tickets with Coffey Anderson are also available for $50. This add-on ticket includes private access to a 10-15 minute acoustic set, a picture with Anderson, and an autographed t-shirt.
