SPRINGDALE, Ark. — A Springdale man has been arrested after a traffic incident reportedly led to him following a family home and pointing a gun at them.
Ray Alvarez, 22, was booked into the Washington County Jail on four counts of aggravated assault on April 3. He is being held on a $75,000 bond.
According to a police report, a Springdale police officer was dispatched to a residence where a man said he accidentally cut off a black Ford truck, which was driven by Alvarez, in traffic on Wednesday.
"The driver of the pickup then followed him home, yelled at him, and pulled a handgun on him," the report says.
When the man realized Alvarez had followed him to his residence, he got out of his car to talk to the suspect. The passengers of the car, the driver's wife and two children, stayed in the car during the encounter.
As the driver approached Alvarez, the report says Alvarez "pointed a gun at him and asked if he wanted some."
Alvarez is set to appear in court for a hearing on April 5. His arraignment will be on May 1.
