SPRINGDALE, Ark. — One person is dead following a police chase in Springdale, according to authorities.
The man was identified as 26-year-old Rokson Kabua of Springdale.
Officials said this took place on the morning of Monday, Sept. 9, at around 1:30 a.m.
Springdale police said the chase started after they attempted a traffic stop on Kabau near South Thompson Street and Robinson Avenue. Police said Kabau took off southbound toward Fayetteville "at speeds over 100 mph."
Police said they chased Kabua onto the interstate, where he eventually veered off the road near Exit 68 and crashed. Kabua was declared dead on the scene, according to the release.
Officials said this is an active investigation being held by Arkansas State Police and no further details will be released at this time.
