SPRINGDALE, Ark — One Springdale woman's whim paid off big-time when she collected her winnings from a lottery ticket she purchased at the Kum and Go on E. Robinson Avenue.

The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) announced a Springdale woman claimed her prize on July 11, to the tune of $75,000. She has reportedly only informed her husband, and is remaining anonymous so as to "secretly share her winnings."

Though she initially planned to just purchase a drink, she made a last-minute decision to drop $3 on a lottery ticket. Two days later, her first thought was "I must be wrong," when she discovered her ticket won that game's top prize.

She also plans to do some home repairs.

ASL also announced that Arkansas's biggest lottery jackpot, $600,000, was won by a Jonesboro man on July 10. He is choosing to remain anonymous, but he told officials he plans to pay off his house, invest in stocks, and save money for his child.
