LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A recent study now claims that the state of Arkansas is the number one spot that people in the U.S. have chosen to move to during 2024.
The study by Atlas has been conducted annually for more than 30 years, and this time around it showed that Arkansas was a sought-after destination for people as it had the highest percentage of inbound moves to the state.
Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders shared her excitement in response to the news of Arkansas securing the top spot.
She claimed the reason behind the state being the most popular was the result of the focus to make it the best state to live, work, and raise a family in.
"If you’re fleeing California or New York or any other blue state we are excited to welcome you, just don’t forget why you left," she added.
While Arkansas ranked at the top of the list for people moving inbound, it should be noted that Louisiana was also ranked at the top for the opposite— it had the highest number of people leaving the state.
