SWEPCO reports nearly 800 without power in Fayetteville

Areas near the Fayetteville Public Library, the Washington County Courthouse, and Dickson Street are all affected.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — SWEPCO reported that two separate outages in the Fayetteville area left nearly 800 customers without power on Jan. 18. 

Around 7:30 p.m., Shanda Hunter, SWEPCO corporate communications director, said they had identified the outage problem and were rerouting power to customers. 

By 8 p.m., all customers had gotten their power back. 

The first outage, reported at 6:06 p.m. on Jan. 18, affected around 767 customers in the area of the Fayetteville Public Library, the Washington County Courthouse, and portions of Dickson Street.

The second outage, reported at 6:13 p.m. on Jan. 18, affected around 13 customers in an area near Fayetteville High School.
