Benton County Sheriff's Office recovered teen who drowned near Hickory Creek Marina

The sheriff's office said they recovered the body around 10:50 p.m. on Saturday.

LOWELL, Ark. — The Benton County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) confirmed a local teen drowned near Hickory Creek Marina and day-use area on July 13.

The agency deployed divers to recover the teen's body Saturday. The Highway 94 East Volunteer Fire Department, Hickory Creek Fire Department, Rocky Branch Fire Department, Avoca Fire Department, Pafford Emergency Medical Services, Arkansas Game and Fish, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineer park rangers assisted with the search. 

BCSO said they are not releasing the teen's name.
