SPRINGDALE, Ark. — Since 2011, The Little Craft Show has grown tremendously, with thousands regularly stopping by the varied booths for locally made paintings, prints, fiber art, jewelry, toys, accessories, or just friendly conversation.
Similar to a farmer's market, art markets like The Little Craft Show accept local vendors who sell hand-made or hand-printed goods across various mediums.
"The show is an incredible way to bring our makers to the forefront," said Managing Director Alexis Thomason. "I love meeting the artists. They're so excited to share their work, and we love hearing what they're passionate about."
The next market, slated for Saturday, May 18, at the Shiloh Square in Springdale, promises another round of colorful local creativity, with at least 50 vendors.
The Little Craft Show offers "handmade ceramics, one-of-a-kind prints, scratch-made baked goods, unique jewelry, and plenty of weird and wonderful gifts that can't be found anywhere else," its website says.
"I know it's gonna be fun. I think people will be delighted by the things they find," said Thomason. "It's really important for community members to be able to see and support local artists."
After Saturday's event, The Little Craft Show is looking ahead to July 21 when it's expected to visit JJ's Live in Fayetteville. For more information, visit their website here.
