ARKANSAS, USA — Arkansans for Limited Government (ALG) submitted a third draft of the Arkansas Abortion Amendment on Jan. 8, 2024, according to a press release.
The previous draft had been rejected, but ALG says they were pleased to know only one change was requested by Arkansas Attorney Tim Griffin.
"AFLG is confident that the third submission addresses the Attorney General’s concern and provides clarity and consistency while maintaining the policy’s integrity," the release said.
Treasurer of ALG Jim McHugh, said the organization is excited about the filing.
"We eagerly anticipate certification of the proposed amendment, and we hope to begin signature collection as soon as the office gives the go-ahead,” said McHugh.
