The city of Mansfield was the center of a two county drug bust Wednesday Night.
Mansfield Chief of Police Boyd Farmer says officers raided five houses simultaneously Wednesday and arrested12 people.
He says this culminates an investigation that has been going several months now by his office, the Arkansas State Police, the Scott and Sebastian County Sheriff’s Offices and the 12th and 21st Judicial Drug Task Forces.
During that long investigation, Chief Farmer says agents made 28 drug buys at various locations around Mansfield.
Authorities are still looking for three suspects, according to the chief. He says two of the 12 taken into custody Wednesday night and early Thursday were arrested on unrelated charges.
About $3,000 worth of marijuana, methamphetamines and prescription drugs were confiscated during the searches. He says the evidence seized was packaged up and taken to state crime lab in Little Rock.
