MADISON COUNTY, Ark. — Two people were killed and one was injured after a crash in rural Madison County on Aug. 2.
According to a crash report from the Arkansas Department of Public Safety (DPS), a vehicle was traveling south on State Highway 45, exiting a left curve when it lost control and cross the centerline, striking a second vehicle.
After colliding with the second vehicle, the first vehicle overturned and came to a final rest, the report said.
The report says that Rafael Cruz-Fermaint, 40, of Springdale, and Ulises Lemus-Tobar, 19, of Rogers, were both killed in the crash. They were both in the first vehicle.
A 56-year-old Berryville woman, the driver of the second vehicle, was injured in the crash and taken to a nearby hospital, according to the report. Conditions were clear and dry at the time of the crash, which was around 5:25 a.m. on Friday.
