University of Arkansas fraternity suspended, investigation underway

UA and the Pi Kappa Alpha National Headquarters suspended the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity while the investigation is being conducted.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University of Arkansas (UA) announced the suspension of one of its fraternities on Saturday, Nov. 4, amid hazing allegations. 

UA and the Pi Kappa Alpha National Headquarters suspended the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity while the investigation is being conducted. 

Parice Bowser, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Greek Life, released the following statement. 

"The University is aware of this report and the U of A chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and its activities have been suspended by the national organization and the U of A pending an investigation. All reports of alleged student conduct violations are taken seriously, and are addressed consistent with requirements of the law and university policy." 

No further details were released regarding the suspension.
