VAN BUREN, Ark. — Oliver Springs Elementary School in Van Buren has received a $20,000 grant from Casey's as part of its "Cash for Classrooms" program, according to a release.
The grant was issued for outdoor playground improvements to the school to benefit all who use it during and after school hours.
The school hopes this will help "encourage families to engage in outdoor activities and serve as a hub for extracurricular activities and events, fostering a sense of belonging among students and families."
Casey's offers school grants once a year to schools in its service areas. The program focuses on physical improvements, material needs, teacher support, and community engagement.
“Casey’s is committed to providing financial support to the students, teachers and school systems across our footprint, and we are grateful for the generosity of our guests, team members and partners who help us make an even greater impact,” said Casey's.
