SCOTT COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — A Waldron man died after a head-on collision involving three vehicles on Nov. 27, according to an Arkansas State Police (ASP) fatal crash report

According to the report, the crash happened around 9 p.m. on Wednesday on Highway 71 near Freedom Road in Scott County.

Howard Dean Canada, 83, was driving north on Highway 71 when a Ram 1500 driving in the southbound lane reportedly crossed the center line and struck Canada's vehicle head-on.

The collision caused the Ram to rotate counterclockwise and crash into the left side of a third vehicle, which was traveling northbound behind Canada's vehicle, the report said.

Canada died after the crash, while the driver of the Ram was injured and transported to a nearby hospital.

ASP's report said the weather was clear and the roads were dry at the time of the crash.
