Waldron Schools dismissed early Monday due to flash flooding in the city

Heavy rain soaked the town of Waldron on Monday, causing flash flooding in many parts of the city.

WALDRON, Ark. — Waldron Schools released students early Monday (Aug. 31) after a morning full of widespread flooding throughout the town.

The school district made the announcement on its Facebook page.

Waldron Schools say they will keep parents updated regarding school for Tuesday (Sept. 1) should the area see more heavy rainfall overnight.
