BENTONVILLE, Ark. — The Walmart Museum building is still under construction, but on Thursday, Aug. 29, the scaffolding for part of the exterior building came down, revealing the progress.
"Today, Walmart revealed a significant milestone in the comprehensive renovation of the iconic Walmart Museum building, with the removal of exterior scaffolding on the south side of the building," Walmart said.
In addition to the museum, Walton's 5 & 10 store and Spark Cafe are part of the building. All have been closed since the construction started and will remain closed until it reopens in March 2025.
Here's what to expect until completion:
- Remaining scaffolding will remain on the building through September.
- Walmart's temporary location for the museum is inside the neighboring Ledger building, which is open at regular hours.
- The Spark Cafe ice cream truck will be at the southwest corner of Bentonville Square.
