BENTONVILLE, Ark — Walmart has released a technical rendering of its futuristic home office, showcasing plans for an advanced and comprehensive workspace.
Spreading out over 350 acres, the new Walmart Home Office promises to host 12 dedicated office buildings alongside amenity spaces such as a hotel, auditorium, fitness center, childcare center, amphitheater, food hall, and two lakes.
The nine parking decks, with more than 1,000 spaces each according to Walmart, will be equipped with "bike and electric vehicle parking, as well as future flexibility for autonomous vehicles." Walmart also says the new campus will be designed with biking in mind by sporting storage, showers, and changing rooms throughout each "neighborhood" of the campus.
Walmart says the goal is to open the new campus in phases throughout 2025, but notes that "as with any major construction project, timing may change."
Walmart has stated that construction on both 8th Street and J Street will continue through 2024 as the project continues.
