SPRINGDALE, Ark. — Waste Management (WM) announced today that it will be delaying its pickup schedule due to winter weather.
In a release from WM, the company said that it will be closed and not servicing trash or recycle routes on Jan. 17.
The delay is caused by the winter weather that moved in over the weekend, WM said.
The release says that cities across Arkansas will be affected.
"This will affect customers in Farmington, Centerton, Tontitown, Avoca, Decatur, Van Buren, Altus, and Russellville," the release said.
“As we continue to evaluate road conditions for the safety of our employees and the communities we serve, we will continue to provide updates as they become available," Jamie Vernon, public sector manager for WM, said.
