SPRINGDALE, Ark. — While burn bans and seasonal dryness have limited firework-friendly cities in Northwest Arkansas, not all cities have prohibited the festive tradition of setting off fireworks to ring in the New Year.
NWA residents looking to celebrate the start of 2024 with fireworks will need to make sure that their city allows it.
Cities in Northwest Arkansas that have banned fireworks:
- Bentonville - fireworks not permitted on New Year’s Eve, New Year's Day
- Prairie Grove - fireworks not permitted on New Year’s Eve, New Year's Day
- Fayetteville - fireworks not permitted on New Year’s Eve, New Year's Day
- Rogers - fireworks not permitted on New Year’s Eve, New Year's Day
- Cave Springs - fireworks not permitted on New Year’s Eve, New Year's Day
- Lowell - fireworks not permitted on New Year’s Eve, New Year's Day
- Springdale - fireworks not permitted on New Year’s Eve, New Year's Day
- Lincoln - fireworks not permitted on New Year’s Eve, New Year's Day
- West Fork - fireworks not permitted on New Year’s Eve, New Year's Day
- Elkins - fireworks not permitted on New Year’s Eve, New Year's Day
- Goshen - fireworks not permitted on New Year’s Eve, New Year's Day
- Gentry - fireworks not permitted on New Year’s Eve, New Year's Day
Northwest Arkansas cities allowing fireworks in some form:
- Farmington - fireworks can be discharged from 10 a.m. Dec. 31 to 1 a.m. Jan. 1
- Bella Vista - fireworks can be discharged from 6 p.m. Dec. 31 to 1 a.m. Jan. 1
- Gravette - fireworks can be discharged from 12 p.m. on Dec. 31 to 12 a.m. Jan. 1
- Siloam Springs - fireworks can be discharged from 12 p.m. Dec. 31 to 1 a.m. Jan. 1
- Centerton - fireworks can be discharged from 8 a.m. Dec. 31 to 12:30 a.m. Jan. 1
- Pea Ridge - fireworks can be discharged from 12 p.m. Dec. 31 to 1 a.m. Jan. 1
- Tontitown - fireworks can be discharged from 9 a.m. Dec. 31 to 1 a.m. Jan. 1
- Greenland - fireworks can be discharged from 12 p.m. Dec. 31 to 1 a.m. on Jan. 1
- Johnson - fireworks can be discharged from 12 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 1
- Decatur - fireworks can be discharged from 12 p.m. Dec. 31 to 1 a.m. Jan. 1
- Garfield - fireworks can be discharged from 12 p.m. Dec. 31 to 1 a.m. Jan. 1
