FRANKLIN COUNTY, Arkansas — Crews are currently battling a wildfire in Franklin County.
Franklin County Emergency Management said on Facebook that the fire is on Fort Chaffee land south of Charleston.
"Officials with Fort Chaffee have crews fighting the fire and are advising the fire is moving to the southwest further onto the base," the post said.
FCEM advised that winds throughout Tuesday would likely push the fire further onto Chaffee land.
The fire is one of many that crews have faced in recent weeks as swaths of Arkansas is facing burn bans and drought conditions.
