When do the polls close in Arkansas on Election Day?

For those who missed early voting, here's what you need to know.

ARKANSAS, USA — Arkansas voters are heading to the polls on March 5 to vote in the Republican and Democratic primaries.

Super Tuesday, or the primaries, is an election held before the general election for voters to decide between candidates that will go on to represent their party in the general election. For example, Arkansans will decide whether Donald Trump, Nikki Haley, and other GOP contenders for president will be the Republican candidate in November.

Voters in parts of Sebastian County, Benton, Washington, Madison, and Crawford Counties will also decide which Republican candidate— incumbent Rep. Steve Womack or state Sen. Clint Penzo— will advance to the general election for the 3rd Congressional District seat.

There are also two nonpartisan races for Arkansas Supreme Court positions, as well as several local races and issues to vote on this Tuesday.

For those who have not taken advantage of early voting, Election Day polling sites will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
