OKLAHOMA, USA — Incumbent U.S. Rep. Josh Brecheen was reelected to Congress over his Democratic and Libertarian opponents.
Brecheen will serve a second term for Oklahoma's 2nd Congressional District — which covers 28 counties in eastern Oklahoma, including Sequoyah and LeFlore.
He was elected over Democrat Brandon Wade and Independent Ronnie Hopkins with 74% of the vote.
"Thank you to the Oklahoma constituents who voted to send me to Washington again as their representative," Brecheen said. "As a conservative, I will continue to stand for the foundational principles that secure the blessings of liberty."
Brecheen was elected to Congress in 2022. In his first term, he served on Homeland Security and Budget committees.
In a second term, Brecheen said he would focus on deficit spending, securing the border, and ensuring policies adhere to the Constitution.
Brecheen will serve another two-year term in Congress.
