You have until Feb. 5 to register to vote in primary elections in Arkansas

The deadline to register to vote in the primary election is Monday, Feb. 5. Here's what you need to know.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Super Tuesday is almost a month away which means that if you wish to vote in Arkansas's primary elections, you have until Feb. 5 to do so.

Although you cannot register to vote online in the state, here is what you need to do if you want to be eligible to vote.

Just a reminder, in order to vote you need to be a United States citizen, be over the age of 18, and not be a convicted felon. You also need to be an Arkansas resident to vote in the state.

The first thing you will want to do is check your voter registration status at voterview.org. This way you can ensure you haven't already registered the state.

Once you've done that you can either download an application, pick it up from your county clerk, a revenue office, public libraries, disability agencies, or a military recruitment office. Application forms are available in English or Spanish.

After filing out the registration application, you will then submit it to your county clerk where your registration will be processed. You can also register to vote at any of the 134 revenue offices across the state.

If approved, you will receive your voter registration card in the mail.

Early voting for the primary elections begins on Feb. 20 and election day is on March 5.
