ARKANSAS, USA — Arkansans can begin casting their votes for president, Congress, state treasurer, State Supreme Court chief justice, and more on Oct. 21.

Early voting will run through Nov. 4. Benton, Crawford, Franklin, Johnson, Logan, Madison, Scott, Sebastian, and Washington counties will have early voting sites available until Election Day on Nov. 5.

Times and locations may vary depending on the county you reside in. Please note that not all locations listed below are open each day of early voting.

When the polls opened on Monday, several voters flocked to the Benton County Election Commission. Before noon, Benton County Election Coordinator Kim Dennison said around 5,000 people came to vote at the 15 early voting locations in the county.

For those who still need to cast their vote, Dennison reminded Arkansans that they will need to verify their identity in order to vote.

"You need to have an Arkansas state-issued ID, your passport, and an Arkansas concealed carry license would work," she said.

Additionally, Dennison reminded voters of a state law that prohibits them from wearing items in favor of or against political candidates or issues. It is considered electioneering and is only allowed 100 feet away from the polling site's door.

"Please make sure that you're not wearing any candidate campaigning, pieces of clothing, items such as a hat, a button, a sticker — any of those things supporting a candidate or an issue that may be on the ballot," Dennison said. "We are going to ask you to go back to your vehicle and remove those before casting your ballot."
