Deadly crash takes place in Adair County, OHP says

According to the report, the crash happened at around 7:52 p.m. on US-62 west of Westville.

ADAIR COUNTY, Oklahoma — A single-vehicle crash in Adair County left one woman dead on Monday, June 3, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) reports.

According to the report, the crash happened at around 7:52 p.m. on US-62 west of Westville. The woman was identified as 50-year-old Wanda Langley.

Officials said Langley was driving westbound on US-62 when she "failed to negotiate a curve" and left the roadway, hitting an embankment. This caused her vehicle to overturn before coming to a rest. OHP said Langley was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash was determined to be "unsafe speed on [a] curve or turn," according to OHP officials.
