LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A total solar eclipse will be taking place on Monday, April 8, 2024, and excitement is mounting in the Natural State as Arkansans prepare to be in the path of totality.
County and city leaders statewide are expecting a hectic day, with over a million visitors flooding into the state to witness the rare event. In preparation for the busy day, many school districts across the state have issued special day-long closures for the event.
