5Features: AARP's Annual Shred Fest

Protect your personal information with AARP

ARKANSAS, USA — May is fraud awareness month at AARP. With over 2.4 million scams reported last year alone, AARP wants to make sure the people of Northwest Arkansas keep their information safe.

They're hosting a Free Shred Fest, where they invite people to bring old tax forms, medical records, and other forms with personal information to shred and recycle on-site. This is an event for everyone; you do not need to be an AARP member to be able to bring your boxes to shred.

The event will be on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 8am to noon (or until the trucks are full) at St Thomas Episcopal Church, 2898 S 48th St, Springdale, across from Randall Tyson Recreational Complex.

The local Farmington UMC Scout Troop will also be at the church collecting non-perishable food items for the food pantry.
