DWTN NOW: Interview with Sam Walton's Grandson

A Walton's opinion on how Bentonville has been growing

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Bentonville is home to many people in Northwest Arkansas. Dana Schlagenhaft is here with Steuart Walton, grandson of Sam Walton, to get his take on what’s been going on in his hometown.

Walton’s family worked in and still lives within walking distance of Bentonville’s town square, so the area holds special memories for him from when he was young. He fondly remembers a restaurant he would frequent with his family on Saturday mornings and the arcade cabinets he played on there.

He laughs thinking about how much the area has grown, turning from a town with a few stoplights and 13,000 people to the bustling area it is today. “It’s kind of this really interesting intersection of midwest meets south,” Walton says about Bentonville. With the success of businesses in the area, Bentonville has continued to do what works and will hopefully continue to see exponential growth in the near future.
