SPRINGDALE, Ark. — For Springdale senior forward Isaiah Sealy, basketball has always been a way of life.
"When I was young, my dad was a trainer, so I was really always in the gym with him training with anybody he's training with anybody older," said Sealy.
Those days with dad in the gym are paying off as he is the number one forward in the state of Arkansas on multiple recruiting lists including ESPN and 24/7 Sports.
"Just being able to direct traffic and to just to make his teammates better," said head coach Jeremy Price. "He's doing that in practice which carries over into the games."
In his junior season, Sealy averaged about 28 points and eight rebounds a game— earning him some looks from some big schools across the country like California and Ole Miss.
"Somewhere my play style could fit somewhere I could push and transition, get along with the team and be a good locker room guy," said Sealy.
Ultimately, his decision would be the school that would keep him mean his support system just about 20 minutes away from campus.
"I'm excited about that little biased because I'm a Razorback fan," said Price. "I'm glad he's close to home or or is home and I can continue to watch him grow."
Before he Sealy can join the John Calipari era, he's focused on closing out his chapter with the Bulldogs the right way and bring home the first state title of program history.
"It would mean a lot," said Sealy. "We went to Hot Springs sophomore year and we lost, so me and the teammates that went, it'll mean a lot for us to go back and win."
