SPRINGDALE, Ark. — According to the Springdale School District (SSD), Har-Ber High School Head Football Coach Brent Eckley has announced he will be resigning effective June 30, 2025.
The hall of fame football coach was hired in July 2023, according to SSD. Coach Eckley said he would be leaving the position to be closer to his family.
"The Springdale School District expresses its gratitude to Coach Eckley for his dedication and leadership within the Har-Ber High School Football program," said SSD.
Superintendent Dr. Jared Cleveland also wished him well, saying:
"We wish only great things for Coach Eckley and the Eckley family moving forward as they embrace their next chapter, returning closer to family."
Currently, Har-Ber is 2-9 overall for the season and 2-5 in conference play, according to Max Preps.
SSD said it is currently looking for a new head football coach for the school.
