ARKANSAS, USA — Tylan Owl and Caydon Koons' play for Gentry High School was voted Yarnell's Sweetest Play of Week Six! Owl connected with Koons who made a tough catch through the coverage and ultimately made a touchdown for the Pioneers on Friday.
Owl and Koons received 1,337 votes and 68.95% of the overall votes.
During high school football season, 5NEWS partners with Yarnell's Premium Ice Cream to showcase local players and the best plays under the Friday night lights.
Every week, there will be several moments from different games up for nomination and you will decide the winner.
The 5NEWS sports team watches games each week and selects four plays for y'all to vote on. The winning team will receive a $200 donation to their school's booster club courtesy of Yarnell's!
Sweetest Play Week Six Nominees
- Greenwood: Kane Archer rolls out and hits Isaiah Arrington who makes a great move on the sideline to make a defender miss, scoring a touchdown (24.08%)
- Farmington: Roman Nye takes a big hit but holds onto the ball and scores for the Cardinals (2.42%)
- Fayetteville: Kaleb Johnson takes a kickoff to the house to help Fayetteville secure a big win over Northside (4.54%)
- Gentry: Tylan Owl hits Caydon Koons who makes a tough catch through coverage for a Pioneers' touchdown (68.95%)
