HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — The Lamar girls' basketball team finished as the 3A state runner-up after falling to Bergman 66-42 in Saturday's championship game.
Both teams were tied at 12 after the first quarter, but stifling defense from the Lady Panthers, holding Lamar to 29% shooting for the game, helped Bergman pull away in the final three quarters.
Lamar finishes the season with a 31-3 record.
