HOT SPRINGS, Arkansas — Bergman and Farmington basketball kicked off the state championship games on Thursday.
Girls basketball:
Bergman - 56, Salem - 33
Bergman knocked down ten 3-pointers in the game and were led by Taryn Holt with 15 points.
This is the second state title for Bergman in three years.
Farmington - 58, Morrilton - 31
Farmington went back-to-back with state titles. Senior Reese Shirey led the team with 15 points.
The Lady Cardinals scored 16 points off of the Devil Dogs turnovers.
Boys basketball:
Bergman - 47, Central Arkansas Christian - 57
Bergman didn't lead in the game until 16 seconds left in the first quarter.
The Mustangs had two guys drain in eleven 3-pointers combined to help lift the team to its first state title in program history.
Farmington - 56, Little Rock Christian - 71
Senior Layne Taylor led the team with 40 points and went 16-of-33 from the field.
